Strictness levels
Lenient mode
Lenient mode is the least strict setting in Fitlock. It allows you to unlock your chosen apps for 10 minutes at a time, even if you haven't yet reached your fitness goal. This is a good option for people who are new to Fitlock or who are trying to break a screen time habit gradually.
Here are some of the features of lenient mode:
- You can unlock your chosen apps for 10 minutes at a time, even if you haven't yet reached your fitness goal.
- Your fitness goal progress is displayed, but you can choose to ignore it if you want.
- You can skip or edit your schedule at any time.
If you find that you are using lenient mode too often, you can switch to a more strict mode, such as moderate or strict mode.
Here are some tips for using lenient mode effectively:
- Set realistic fitness goals. If you set your goals too high, you are more likely to become discouraged and give up.
- Be mindful of your screen time. Even if you are only unlocking your apps for 10 minutes at a time, it's important to be aware of how much time you are spending on them.
- Use the fitness goal progress display to track your progress. This can help you to stay motivated and on track.
- Don't be afraid to switch to a more strict mode if needed. Lenient mode is a good starting point, but you may need to adjust your settings as you go.
Moderate mode
Moderate mode is a middle ground between lenient mode and strict mode in Fitlock. You are not able to easily bypass the block until you have reached you goal. However, you can edit or change the schedule at any time. This is a good option for people who are trying to reduce their screen time but still want some flexibility.
Here are some of the features of moderate mode:
- Your fitness goal progress is displayed.
- You cannot easily skip or bypass the block.
